Candida IgG
Candida IgG refers to the presence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against Candida albicans, a type of yeast that is commonly found in the human body, in the blood. Candida albicans can cause a variety of infections in humans, including thrush, vaginal yeast infections, and invasive candidiasis. IgG antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to an infection, and they are responsible for long-term immunity against the pathogen. A positive IgG test for Candida indicates that the individual has been exposed to the yeast at some point in the past, and their immune system has produced antibodies to fight the infection.
