PSA Ratio

PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) is a protein produced by the prostate gland that can be measured through a blood test. The PSA test is used to screen for prostate cancer, as well as to monitor the progression of the disease in those who have been diagnosed. Elevated PSA levels can be a sign of prostate cancer, but other factors such as an enlarged prostate or a prostate infection can also cause elevated PSA levels. It's important to note that the PSA test is not a definitive diagnostic tool, and further testing, such as a biopsy, may be needed to confirm a diagnosis of prostate cancer.
