About this profile

Allergy Profile X – Milk plus Gluten
The Allergy Profile X – Milk plus Gluten is a targeted blood test designed to identify allergic reactions to milk proteins and gluten. It measures the body’s immune response to key allergens, including casein, beta-lactoglobulin, alpha-lactalbumin, and gluten, helping detect sensitivities that can affect digestion, skin, and respiratory health.

Indications for testing
This test is recommended for individuals who experience digestive discomfort, bloating, hives, rashes, or respiratory symptoms after consuming dairy or gluten-containing foods. It is also suitable for those with a family history of allergies, asthma, or eczema, or for individuals experiencing unexplained gastrointestinal or skin issues that may be food-related.

What can be detected?

Milk protein allergies: Identifies immune responses to alpha-lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, and casein—common proteins responsible for dairy-related allergic reactions.

Gluten allergy: Detects sensitivity or allergic reactions to gluten found in wheat, barley, and rye, which may cause digestive, skin, or respiratory symptoms.

Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) sensitivity: Determines sensitivity to BSA, a cow’s milk protein that can trigger additional milk-related reactions.

Who is this test for?
This test is ideal for those with symptoms linked to dairy or gluten consumption, including abdominal pain, fatigue, eczema, and respiratory distress. It is also beneficial for patients with chronic allergies or inflammatory conditions where food triggers may play a role.

Fasting requirements
No fasting is required. Regular meals and fluids may be consumed prior to testing. Inform your healthcare provider of any medications or supplements that could affect results.
