Bartonella IgG
Bartonella IgG refers to the presence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against Bartonella bacteria in the blood. Bartonella is a type of bacteria that can cause a variety of infections in humans, including cat scratch disease, trench fever, and bartonellosis. IgG antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to an infection, and they are responsible for long-term immunity against the pathogen. A positive IgG test for Bartonella indicates that the individual has been exposed to the bacteria at some point in the past, and their immune system has produced antibodies to fight the infection.
