Chlamydia pneumoniae IgA

Chlamydia pneumoniae IgA refers to the presence of immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibodies against Chlamydia pneumoniae, a type of bacteria that can cause respiratory tract infections, in the blood. IgA antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to an infection, and they are found primarily in the mucous membranes, such as those lining the respiratory and digestive tracts. A positive IgA test for Chlamydia pneumoniae indicates that the individual has been exposed to the bacteria at some point in the past, and their immune system has produced antibodies to fight the infection.
