Chlamydia pneumoniae IgG

Chlamydia pneumoniae IgG refers to the presence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against Chlamydia pneumoniae, a type of bacteria that can cause respiratory tract infections, in the blood. IgG antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to an infection, and they provide long-term immunity against the pathogen. A positive IgG test for Chlamydia pneumoniae indicates that the individual has been exposed to the bacteria at some point in the past, and their immune system has produced antibodies to fight the infection.
