Chlamydia pneumoniae IgM
Chlamydia pneumoniae IgM refers to the presence of immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies against Chlamydia pneumoniae, a type of bacteria that can cause respiratory tract infections, in the blood. IgM antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to an acute infection, and they are typically the first type of antibody produced in response to a new infection. A positive IgM test for Chlamydia pneumoniae indicates that the individual has recently been infected with the bacteria and their immune system is actively producing antibodies to fight the infection.
