Mumps Virus IgG

Mumps IgG is a blood test that looks for the presence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies to the mumps virus. Mumps is a contagious viral infection that primarily affects the salivary glands, but can also affect other organs. The IgG antibodies to the mumps virus are produced by the immune system in response to an infection or after receiving a mumps vaccine. These antibodies can persist in the blood for many years, even after the infection has been cleared or the vaccine has worn off.

There is an additional £20 phlebotomy fee for every donation.
