Zika Virus Antibody and RNA Testing

A blood test using a Gold Top Vacutainer is performed to measure Zika-specific IgG and IgM antibodies.

Urine Sample for RNA Detection

A urine sample is also collected to detect Zika virus RNA using real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR).

There is an additional £20 phlebotomy fee for every donation.
