Albumin
Albumin is a protein produced by the liver, which constitutes 55% to 65% of total plasma protein.Albumin maintains oncotic pressure, is involved in the transport and storage of hormones, fatty acids and other various compounds.Albumin test is ordered as health screening and is included in the metabolic panel, in the liver function tests (LFT) or in the renal panel to evaluate kidney function.
There is an additional £20 phlebotomy fee for every donation.
