SCL-70 Antibodies

Scl-70 Ab refers to an antibody that targets a protein called Scl-70, which is also known as topoisomerase I. Scl-70 Ab is associated with a type of autoimmune disease called systemic sclerosis (SSc), also known as scleroderma. SSc is a rare autoimmune disease that affects the skin and internal organs, causing thickening and hardening of the tissues. Scl-70 Ab is particularly associated with a form of SSc called diffuse cutaneous SSc, which is characterized by widespread skin involvement and rapid progression of the disease.
