Sperm Antibodies

Sperm Ab refers to antibodies that are produced by the immune system against sperm cells. These antibodies can develop in both men and women and can affect fertility by causing damage to or killing sperm cells. Sperm Ab can be produced due to various reasons, such as a vasectomy reversal, trauma or injury to the testicles, infections, or certain medical treatments. In some cases, the cause of sperm Ab is unknown. If a man or a woman is suspected to have sperm Ab, a semen analysis may be done to evaluate the number, motility, and morphology of the sperm. A blood test may also be done to detect the presence of sperm Ab.

There is an additional £20 phlebotomy fee for every donation.
